Morgan Harrar is an experienced nonprofit professional whose career is deeply rooted in passion for service, community, connection, and empowering others to create meaningful impact. For the past three years, Morgan has served as a Development Coordinator for Breakthrough T1D, the leading global nonprofit organization for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Here, she specializes in strategic donor development as well as volunteer recruitment and retention. In this role, she is proud to work among those who help plan and execute their annual Walk program, which collectively brings in approximately $1.7 million for their local Greater Delaware Valley chapter. In this role, she cultivates and manages relationships with newly diagnosed families, while coaching first-year Walk teams to develop engagement and fundraising strategies. She prides herself on building authentic, genuine partnerships while inspiring individuals to recognize their potential to make a difference.

Morgan’s professional journey has instilled a profound passion for the transformative power of volunteerism. Through her day-to-day interactions with families, donors, and volunteers, she has witnessed firsthand how service becomes a catalyst for change, hope, and long-term impact. This has not only shaped her career but also her calling – to create spaces where people discover their purpose through service. This belief inspired the development of her Volunteer Personality Test, a tool designed to help individuals find their personal volunteer style. Morgan hopes that by guiding others toward opportunities aligned with their passions, strengths, and values, they will find their true purpose that comes from investing in their communities that they call home.

This passion has also led Morgan to advocate for expanding youth engagement in service. She is currently working with state legislators to advance her “8 to Graduate” initiative that would establish an eight-hour community service requirement for high school graduation. Through this initiative, Morgan hopes to introduce students to the power of service early in life and encourage a lifelong commitment to civic engagement and community impact.

Morgan is a proud graduate of Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications and was honored as the Commencement Speaker for her Class of 2023. Much of Morgan’s dedication to service originated from her long-time involvement within the Miss America’s Scholarship Foundation. Since joining at the age of sixteen, she has been proud to have been a part of a program that celebrates scholarship, service, and personal development. The Miss America Opportunity played a pivotal role in shaping her career in nonprofit development and has strengthened her communication and leadership skills she carries with her every day.

Morgan continues to blend her nonprofit expertise, her love for community service, and her commitment to empowering others to find Purpose in Service.
